slackware-security: some mails do not arrive

Hi,

I have been subscribed to the slackware-security mailing list for a long time. I have recently realized that some mails do not arrive at my inbox. For instance, the mailing list archives list "2018-01-15 - [slackware-security] kernel (SSA:2018-016-01)" as the last security notice posted on Jan 15th, 2018, but I have not received it. The last mail I have in my inbox is regarding "2018-01-08 - [slackware-security] irssi (SSA:2018-008-01)". Could you help me resolve this issue?

Best,

Ekin

Hi Ekin,

the last mail you're referring to has yet to arrive, I haven't received it yet too.

http://www.slackware.com/security/vi...ecurity.432557
Code:
Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2018 22:32:33 -0800 (PST)
is actually just a few minutes ago...

EDIT: it's just arrived (two hours after posting this message).

Hi,

I have just realized that I have not received the security announcement below for kernel although it has been 2 days ever since:

Quote:
From: Slackware Security Team <security@slackware.com>
To: slackware-security@slackware.com
Subject: [slackware-security] Slackware 14.2 kernel (SSA:2018-057-01)
Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2018 15:17:47 -0800 (PST)

[slackware-security] Slackware 14.2 kernel (SSA:2018-057-01)

New kernel packages are available for Slackware 14.2 to mitigate the
speculative side channel attack known as Spectre variant 1.

What could be wrong?

I didn't get that email. I'm a long time subscriber. I checked my spam folder to see if it was misidentified.

I received the security email for Rel 14.2 and I have had no issues with that in the past.

Are people here asking about the security email for Slackware Current ? I wonder if that would be included in another mail list ?

There's no such thing as a "security update" for -current. They're just updates. They might address security concerns, but since it isn't a stable release, Pat doesn't do anything special except for occasionally including info in the changelog. But AFAIK, there's no mailing list for -current.

Thanks for the info Didier. I don't know how I missed that.

There is only one Slackware Security mailing list, cf.:
http://www.slackware.com/lists/archive/
It encompasses all supported Slackware releases and -current, when applicable.
