Slackware scroll problem
now i know there are probably a thousand such threads and please don't get angry at me...
i've set the ZAxisMapping "4 5" and the Buttons 5 but still no scroll...
where could be the problem...
had to preinstall since i f*cked up the whole slack (don't ask) and now i can't even set up a WP
btw can i combine two threads and ask : HOW THE HELL WAS THAT EXACTLY done...
i use the fsetbg in the ~./fluxbox/startup but it tells me there's SOME problem...
gawd i want a better PC...

Starting with the mouse, try a different driver type in /etc/X11/xorg.conf Sometimes, 'auto' works, 'imps2', other options are there too.
Try looking at my xorg.conf , and see if it helps
As for the second part, how about a little more detail? How did you "Windows up" the install? (Cursing saying 'Windows' to me is just plain funny...lol)
And what are you trying to accomplish? What version of Slackware were you trying to install? And what hardware are you trying to setup?

Try one of the other protocols, like IMPS/2

Happens all the time. Just remember the solution, and if others have the same issue, try to let them know how to resolve it too.
