Slackware rated number one

Extreme Tech rates Slackware as number one geek distro.

Slackware #1

Good list, but why sabayon if you already listed gentoo? I'd pick crux instead of sabayon.

Me too, I don't think Sabayon should be on there, I personally don't like it at all. It's like Ubuntu-ized Gentoo, yuck !

Nice wallpaper. I'm learning slowly enough as it is, don't think I'd be able to concentrate very well with her staring at me.
I haven't tried Sabayon since 3.2 or 3.3, took ages to boot up into a desktop designed for vampires: all blood red and black with a big claw. An eye-candy distro.

For being number one, the article did not say a lot about Slackware. Notice the version in the picture is 11.0.

That is the thing that has prevented me from even trying Sabayon.
Along with the fact that most of the screenshots on their page feature games.

Thank you. Yeah, she did become a bit unnerving after a time....so she's now long gone.

Thank you, MannyNix! Ha-ha, no, I wish I knew her. I found that wallpaper out on the Internetz somewhere. Agreed! She would be a welcome addition to our IRC channels.
