is there a way to do it with the CD iso's? how much memory do i need for using one of the iso's?, or will QEmu swap to disk?

tried qemu with the cd image. still not seeing any disks out there to install to maybe if i try the linux version and mount the blank 50g partition using the -hda flag? it boots fine off of the iso, as long as i use huge.s as the kernel. windows won't see the partition. that's one of the stupid quirks of windows, it doesn't "talk" to non-native partitions. if nothing else works, i guess i wait until my tax refund gets here and get a new dvd drive....
