[SOLVED] Slackware PHP PCRE compiled with no UTF-8 support

Hi there,

Sorry but I cannot find any related thread on this forum so I post this one. My Slackware installed PHP's PCRE seems not compiled with utf-8 support as I run some framework test (therefore it fails the framework test #kohana).

Can I use the current source code and change some of the slackbuild script for this purpose?

You need to recompile

add this line:

--enable-utf8

Then run:
$ make clean
$ make
$ make install
$ /etc/init.d/httpd restart

That leads me to editing http://www.slackware.at/data/slackwa...php.SlackBuild and add the following lines:

--enable-utf8 \
--enable-unicode-properties \

Further question: I will be using php in CLI using PHPUnit. Do I need to configure another portion for CLI version?

I will be using the slackbuild (link above). Hope this work tonight. Will post tomorrow for progress.

I have successfully rebuilt my PHP but it seems that what I need to rebuild is PCRE and not PHP. I rebuild it anyway and it now works.
