Question Slackware mail management options

Pretty new to slackware (coming from windows). I've never really been happy with how my "e-mail" system has been setup in the past. I'm wondering if maybe there is a better way. Currently, I have a PC that runs outlook and retrieves mail from 3 different e-mail providers. I have a second account setup in outlook that I can use to retrieve e-mail from an exchange server. I have set my e-mail accounts to not delete emails until 10 days. This PC is usually on during the daytime and turned off overnight (not a server).

I also have a laptop that has Outlook that retrieves in the exact same fasion. IE: Two accounts, one for exchange and one for multiple pop3 mail accounts.

Some problem with this setup:
1) All mail folders except my Sent mail directly stays pretty synced up.
2) I have to backup both PC's.
3) Don't really like outlook.

So, being that I'm now using slackware on both (notebook and PC) I'm wishing to maybe re-think my mail setup. There are SO many clients available that I'm really out of touch with what is recommended. So I have two questions:

1) Is there a better way to keep mail synced between my PC and laptop in linux?
2) What GUI mail client is recommended? Are there any with Exchange server support?

Thanks for the help!
Tomas

Hi, I am using Mozilla mail in slackware and can set up almost all I like, not working with hotmail, where you have to go to the website.
Check it out with Mozilla mail,
I get it in Windows, which I use seldom, most in slackware.
Have both Windows and Linux on my laptop.
