Slackware Linux Essentials - dead tree edition. Worthy purchase?
This is pretty much a rhetorical question, as I think I will purchase it regardless, but what do other slackers here think about the (somewhat outdated) book from the Slackware store? Yes, I know about SlackDocs, but I do like holding a book in my hands. Plus, I know purchasing from the store goes towards keeping Slackware and Patrick afloat.
So, all of those considerations aside, is it still a good purchase? |
Hi Eyeofliberty,So I prefer read in computer,'cause you can get the book in Internet and read then. But it's better to buy the book from store,You will get the book on your own hands and read in anywhere. Moreover you is helping the community.

Hello
Hard-copy books do go out of date very quickly when it comes to anything related to computers, but like you, I always prefer reading from a book rather than a computer monitor. I'd go for the book if you can get it for an agreeable price, then you can always resort to online reading whenever necessary. |
