Hello all,
I have used LinuxQuestions.org in the past to solve a variety of problems, both for myself and for others. I want to say 'thank you' to everyone here, and hope that this post will give back part of what I have gotten from this community.
Though I have only recently created an account here, I have been a longtime Slackware user. It was suggested in #slackware on Freenode that I post a link to these guides, which were written mostly by me and are hosted by the Appalachian Linux Users Group.
ALUG
There are some spots that need filling in, and I plan to do that in the coming weeks now that the spring semester at ASU is over. The install guide is complete, and the tips section should be of interest for those seeking ways to speed booting or just tips in general. The configuration section is the most incomplete, but walks through setting up sound, setting up X, and links to my kernel compile guide.
I say 'my' just because the ALUG Wiki site is young, and a lot of the material was reformatted from my own
site. I'm sure with some time these guides will be a true community effort.
If anyone would like to copy these guides to other Slackware sites or Wikis like
SlackersBible feel free as I do not have time to do it myself.
Enjoy!
