slackware: how to install second iso


well ppl have told me to go to pkgtool and install the packages one by one but i wanna install all the packages off the disc at once how would i do that?

I never heard of the second Iso. I tought the second slack Cd was the source, I never burn it.

Well In the main slack cd there are an option "all" it do not exist in this cd? What's this cd btw, some apps? I strongly recommand you to take newer version of these apps one by one on the web, Slack 8.0 is a bit old.

btw... Hum maybe that's stupid but can I ask you where you are in Canada? I was just wondering if you were close

Just change into the /contrib directory on the second CD and type installpkg *.tgz

That should do it except for changing into a directory like java/jre to install the java environment, but that's the only oneyou really need, openmotif isn't really what you want. Lesstif is installed by default and OpenMotif overwrites it I believe.
