what works:
all except sound
Tiger Lake LP sound card is not fully supported. Installing SOF did not help, I had to force snd_hd_intel load for sound to work.
However snd_hd_intel does not support Tiger Lake LP microphone. So currently sound works without microphone enabled.
Touchscreen and pen work aout of the box.
what is not tested: fingerprint reader: Plasma5/KDE does not support fingerprint authentication

Kernel is customized to work with all the installed hardware plus software: eg NFSv4, iptables and so on.
Battery life ~7hrs with average use. This is a bit less when compared exactly the same system with windows as published (I never booted system to windows but at first boot loaded liveslack DVD so I have no direct comparison.
This is full compatibility report about Slackware on the latest Tiger Lake hardware.
I don't expect any more improvements from kernel, but I am hoping that mic issue will be fixed in 5.14.x or 5.15.x series.
Today, I tested slackware current (kernel 5.15.10) on my Dell laptop (11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7, Iris Xe Graphics) using the SlackLive current ISO.
The graphics chip is recognized but the X display runs slow, freezes and hangs. There are similar reports for kernel branch 5.15:
Distribution: VM Host: Slackware-current, VM Guests: Artix, Venom, antiX, Gentoo, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, OpenIndiana

According to this link there are patches to be backported to 5.15.
Hopefully in the incomming version 5.16 everything is solved.
I thought that because we have different CPUs, GPU is different too. It seems though that GPUs are the same:
I don't have issues with GPU since 5.15.7.
Before 5.15.7: from 5.15.0 to 5.15.6, kernels were unusable causing GPU hang, (this was fixed eventually).
Now I am on custom 5.15.10 and GPU works. I am not sure what is causing GPU issues in your case.

Yes, the CPU is diferent, but the GPU is the same:
Well, I run SlackLive again, but with the option "toram". All works now! OpenGL, Vulkan, sound, wifi... Now I testing thermald and Intel's media drivers.
