slackware current ipv6
Hi,
I'm experiencing connectivity issues w/ current (2009-05-24). In the past, I've been able to avoid using ipv6 (opendns, my isp and home router don't support it) simply by making sure that the option in firefox->about:config-> diable.dns.ipv6 = true > was set. Now it seems that many things are tring to use ipv6. ssh (I have to diable the option in ssh_config) and filezilla for example. Blacklisting the ipv6 module is not enough... I wonder, is there something that is done differently with ipv6 in current? I wasn't experiencing any of these troubles with 12.2. Thanks |
Does `lsmod` output still show the ipv6 module being loaded? How are you blacklisting the module?

Hmmm: maybe this is a clue.
I've been setting a static IP through inet1.conf If I use DHCP instead the problem seems to go away. Looks like it may be a problem between my slack box and my home router. |
