Slackware current installpkg line 59 rev command not found

First time I've done this in awhile
Upgrading my Slackware64 -current VM, following the standard routine that has always worked in the past -
Code:
slackpkg clean-system
slackpkg install-new
The clean-system removed 2 packages -
util-linux-ng
eggdbus

Installpkg will no longer work, complaining that the rev command is not found.

The problem hit with the removal of util-linux-ng.

If someone else hits this problem, I cp'd util-linux to ~/. Extracted with tar and executed the doinstall. Fixed.

Hopes this makes into the notes, or maybe I need to not do clean-system first

You should do install-new before clean-system. The order I find best is

install-new
upgrade-all
clean-system

You will need to manually untar util-linux in / and when that's done installpkg it. *Edit: ok I see you have done that

But I'm an old dog. I don't like new tricks

Do you know if that's documented somewhere? That is the preferred order for slackpkg? It should be if not.

What about the man page?

Code:
Slackpkg can be used to upgrade the whole distribution.
The usual way is to do:

            # slackpkg update
            # slackpkg install-new
            # slackpkg upgrade-all
            # slackpkg clean-system
