Hello, I have windows 7 and slackware 14.2.
Slackware (legacy) use GTP. When I try to boot slackware, it freeze at 3.6 NET: ... 17 I go to /etc/default/grub and put nomodeset in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT= grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg Reboot... And now boot stop at HDA NVIDIA HDMI I installed nvidia driver, and exist nouveau blacklist. When I put nomodeset in GRUB <TAB> nomodeset, slackware works perfectly Any solution? |
Boot to a Live CD or the Slackware setup disk, mount appropriate a partition (probably /), and take a look at /var/log/messages and /var/log/dmesg. You may find some hints there.
You likely cannot see those files from the Windows side of the computer because Windows generally cannot read Linux file systems. |
Solved
I changed BIOS values, and now it works perfectly, thanks you.
