Angry Slackware and MAMBO SERVER

Hello everyone,
I’m new to Linux world, and seem to be stuck. I was attempting to install the mambo server (CMS) and it seems like everything went thru fine, but when I open my web browser and type the name of the page in this case http://localhost/index.php I get the PHP code instead of the code executing.
I’ve done searching thru google and forums on this website and I get seems to find the answer to my question, any help would be appreciated.

I am running
SLACKWARE 9.0 of course : )
Apache 1.3
Mysql 3.23
And PHP 4.0
Athlon XP 1800 -
Thanks Ivan

Pretty vague

Well. That does not tell me much.
Ive worked with Mambo Quite alot, but not that problem.
Simply make sure the Apache and MySQL servers are running. Read all the readme's for everything.
And keep digging!

Please, how did you solved your problem? Post the solution, that way someone with the same problems could benefit from this post.
