Slackware and GAG

I'm using GAG to choose between FreeBSD, Windows, and Slackware 10.1, and I can't get it to boot into Slackware. I chose "82h" and "83h Linux EXT2", and neither of them worked. The error returned was "Sector Boot not Found or Invalid".

Does anyone have any advice?

i don't know what the codes are: 82h 83h.

but if they are partition id.'s:

82h=linux swap
83h=linux
05h=linux-extended

Installing Lilo corrupted the MBR, so now I can't boot up that computer; it's not an option.

I reinstalled Slackware with Lilo after having used GAG. I'm currently reinstalling GAG.

What should I do to get GAG to work with Slackware?

hmmm...just the same i guess as you do with other linux distro's.
i never used gag though.....

but with lilo it's possible also.
it should at least boot Slack., and it can boot freebsd and windos.

maybe look at the doc.'s of gag....

There's nothing about Slackware there.

I installed Lilo at the beginning of the Linux partition, as said here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/history/315753 It still gets the same error, no matter what I do.

How would I install Lilo from a bootable disk?

I looked at the instructions here, but I've been getting errors like these:
Code:
FAT: Bogus logical sector size 0
UMSDOS: msdos_reah_super failed, mount aborted
st-2021: reiserfs_read_super  cannot find reiserfs on ramdisk(1, 0)
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:00

You try to boot from which kernel ?
Try to boot from a kernel that has built-in reiserfs support not
in an initrd (eg take the bare.i kernel)

...if still no luck, can you post your /etc/lilo.conf here ?
and tell if you....

1) you want to use lilo to boot Slack and the other OSses.

or

2) use gag to boot all.

I'm trying to boot from the bare.i kernel. Since my computer is based on ACPI, should I use the bareacpi.i kernel?

Weird, that seems correct, did you try to boot without the noinitrd option :
bare.i boot=/dev/hdb3

I`ve been experimenting with old computers and GAG.
I`ve installed slack9 several times and it always booted.
I installed lilo to the super block. Have you tried that?
