Slackware and 64bit intel processor

Ok, I'm new...
I've searched a lot in google and in the "search-tab" of the forum!

1)Nobody know if there is some problem installing slackware on new 64bit Intel processor?

2)And on dual-core?

3)Where can I find some kind of information about it?

Thank very much for your attention.

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.org =D

1) If the new Intel processor can parse the x86 instruction set there will be no problems.
2) You will need to enable SMP (afaik) to utilise the dual-cores properly.
3) Google for "x86_64", "slackware" and/or "slamd64". The "x86_64" search parameter will also bring up a lot of information in these forums.

You may find problems finding people who have actually tested slackware on these chips, but in theory, it will work.

Yup slack will run on 64-bit processors and dual cores. You would have to enable SMP support and recompile the kernel. See my sig...
