slackware 9 in Proliant ML 350 G3

Dear all,

I would like to install slackware 9 in my Proliant ML 350 G3 server....i can install redhat 8 in it...but cant install any version of slackware...i m a newbie.

Could you be a bit more specific on why you can't install slack? The information you've given provides very little to go on. Where does it go wrong in the install process, what error messages do you get etc. ?

I suppose you're stopped very early in your installation process, so :
If your compaq server is a SCSI server you have to know the SCSI adaptor - adaptec or ... - to select the good scsi kernel -e.g scsi.s scsi2.s ... - It's the first difficulty. The second one is raid is you have one.
