Slackware 9.1 and LAN

I've got 2 computers on a LAN. Was wondering how you do file sharing and how I can view the shared files/configure my LAN. I'm rather new to Linux and about all I know how to do are a few basic things.

I'm using a Netgear Gateway Routers. One PC is 192.168.0.2 the other is 192.168.0.3 the Gateway routers local ip is 192.168.0.1 and I am connected to the internet properly, just don't know how to get my LAN working to share files.

If anyone has a link to some documentation on how to do this I would be grateful also.
