Chutla, the reason for the failed dependencies when you try to install the RPM is most likely because Slackware, not being an RPM distribution, has no RPM database of installed packages. To install an RPM in Slackware you can do one of two things:
The first thing you can do is just to install the RPM with rpm using the --force option. You have to make sure of the dependencies yourself (but you have to do this at any rate with Slack). The downside to this is that the program will not be in your pkgtool list of installed packages.
The other course you could take, which I would recommend over the first one, is to use rpm2tgz to convert the RPM to a Slackware package. Then you can install the Slack package with pkgtool.
Alternatively, if the application comes as source, you could compile it yourself instead of using the RPM.
