Question Slackware 9.0 Installation Trouble

Hello all,

I've recently downloaded Slackware 9.0. During the installation procedure, I can make it to the point where I am asked to select a kernel. I select "bare.i" and boot with that. While the kernel is booting, it goes through a series of messages about the USB interfaces. It is during this series that my keyboard/mouse (both USB) are disabled. The installation continues, but I cannot type any input due to the disabled mouse/keyboard. One of the USB messages mentions something to the effect that a USB hub didn't return an "OK" for a status message. If anyone has experienced this problem before or has a suggestion, please let me know.

System Specs:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ASUS P4T533-C w/onboard 100Mbps NIC
P4 2.53GHz @ 1.9GHz
512MB RDRAM
Western Digital 30GB HDD
Creative Labs SB Audigy Platinum eX
Gainward GeForce 4 Ti4600 w/128MB SDRAM
ASUS 48x16x48x CD-RW
Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard (USB)
Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical (USB)

Slackware 9.0 doesn't come with a usb.i kernel.
