Slackware 8.1 out!

Hmmmm...i dont think they are too reliable, which line(s) in that changelog gave that moron the impression that Slak 8.1 is out? could it be the header "pre-release"

What a complete moron, also, if this were true it would seem userlocal.com has scooped slackware.com for the news as they have made no announcement yet?

Correct me if im wrong here.

Thjis is weird, ive deleted all my temp files, hit refresh, but still the newest news i get is 16 june.

Oh well, now we just have to wait for the ISO, and then find a server which isnt overloaded.

Scooping slackware.com isn't difficult. That site hardly ever updates. There have been two officially released RC's since the last update...

Damn. There is a 8.1 iso on the ftp.slackware.com server, schweet. i will download it tonight


this has been almost a year coming!
