Slackware

I have an NVIDIA Vanta (Compaq) Video Adapter. Which one is it on Slackware? There isn't any with that name. There are a lot of Riva Vanta but I don't know which one?

Do you have Windows OS installed, if so, try looking for it under it. It could be a TNT Vanta also.

All else fails just go with any NVIDIA driver. They all work, if I remember.

Slackware Problems

I want to know how to make normal users have access to dial-up. I don't want to use root to connect to my ISP. I also want to know how to make my modem modules run automatically. I have a PCTEL Platinum V.90 and I configured the driver but it's compiled with a gcc version 2 and the kernel is compiled with gcc version 3, so I have to use insmod -f pctel/ptserial everytime I use Slackware, so I want to know how to make it run automatically. Another question is that which program can I use to download mp3 and play CDs, by the way i don't know why I can't play music.

Didn't you just post that last one as a new thread? Try not to double post.

Did you get your video problem fixed first of all? And post new problems to a new thread!
