Slackware 2.6.13 - ACPI Error on notebook HP nx6110
 

Hello slackers,

- My slackware version is 10.2
- I updated the kernel to version 2.6.13 (from the direcoty on slackware 10.2 CD2)

The problem:

After rebooting with kernel 2.6.13:

1. There is some cykling Error:
ACPI-0070 - Error Acpi handler dispatch ...
Same problem is when I booting install CD1 with test26.s.

Is this an older laptop (Googling it seems so)?

On some older laptops I have had errors similar to yours (during boot) when using kernel 2.6, even kernels with APM/ACPI disabled.

Do you boot fine with kernel 2.4?

2.4.31 boots fine.
