Slackware 2.3 and 3.0

I am looking to find ISO images of Slackware 2.3 and 3.0. These were the first two versions of Linux that I used in the spring of 1995. Does anyone know where I can download ISOs of the Walnut Creek or any other versions of these two distributions. I am wanting to use them on KVM for old times sake.

I don't remember slackware 3 ever being an iso. You should still be able to grab the original disk images from slackware's ftp i think. Perhaps you can make your own iso if you really need it to be an iso

Slackware 2.1 and 3.0 are available at ibiblio.org. See this post for the link. However, as {O_o} mentions, I don't think there are ISO images for those versions, they weren't distributed as such.

I don't think they were iso's... I remember using a lot of diskettes. My first purchase from Walnut Creek was in 1999 for the CD disks... no iso's there. Still have that set!! Wish I had kept the diskettes(1996) but ah well. @Diantre post does point to a good starting point which leads to http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/historic-...distributions/

Right on Slackware's website the Slackware File Trees are provided from version 1.01. But you'll have to cook an ISO installer yourself. Another possibility would be to make virtual floppy disks that you could use in the VM and follow the installation instructions found e.g. here for Slackware 2.3.

Looking at those instructions is a real trip down memory lane. Spent several evenings till I got it right, moving Win95, making space, partitioning.
Great fun I had following Pat's recommendation "Have Fun!"
Thanks Didier
