Slackware 14 - pommed slackbuild?

I've been trying to get Slackware 14 running well on my MacBook Pro and pommed looks like it might be a solution. I'm still pretty n00b. Anyhow, I've been able to figured out slackbuilds **claps for himself** but am unsure what to do when there isn't one available. I was able to get the dependencies installed for pommed, but I don't see a slackbuild for pommed on Slackware 14 specifically. I tried the others versions, which of course failed.

Also, any suggestions as to how to get my touchpad to not be as sensitive? Other drivers maybe?

Thanks!

13?

So that looks like it is for Slackware 13. Does it also work with 14?

It should work. Try building it. If it doesn't, then post the errors and someone should help. For the most part, you can take a slackbuild from another version of slack and use it on any other one. As long as you've taken care of the deps, you should be fine.

Ok, so I'm getting more errors with a slackbuild that I'm not sure what to do. I've tried both the one for Slackware 13 and 14.

Ooh, never mind the flSynclient problem...I figured that out, needed to install fltk. But still an issue with the pommed.

Thanks!

Ok I ran through and installed libsmbios and confuse again to make sure I had the dependencies installed correctly. They ran through a completed successfully. I again tried to install pommed and got the following error:

Follow up problem with it. It's installed and I can run it, but it only bounces an icon on my cursor and sits in the task bar for 30 seconds and disappears. Did a ps -a and came up with nothing.

Ok this isn't the only program that won't run, I can't get ktorrent to run either, so something more systemic must have happened during the installs I did.

Help!

Try building a newer version of pommed ( 1.26 is ancient ), even with that slackbuild; just mod it. i was playing with this 2 years ago when i had a macbook and v1.37 worked for me ( it looks like i might have patched it, dont remember, but if that doesnt work i can toss w.e it in my Dev/pommed folder ).
