Slackware 14.2-x86_64 + Multilib + SBo( x2goserver / x2goclient )

All --

The SBo Package Set( x2goserver + x2goclient ) look like they might provide supported replacements for the discontinued Set( nxserver + nxclient ).

However, I can't seem to connect x2goclient to an x2goserver.

I've tried the x2goserver on Slackware 14.2 and also on CentOS 6.8

The Client simply hangs and even after setting loglevel=debug in /etc/x2go/x2goserver.conf I've still got no useful log messages in /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog

I've tried some of the troubleshooting hints on the arch website ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/X2Go ) but nothing over there seems to help.

When I first connect, I get an error dialog:

Code:
Access denied. Authentication that can continue: publickey,password,keyboard-interactive
Access denied. Authentication that can continue: publickey,password,keyboard-interactive
Access denied. Authentication that can continue: publickey,password,keyboard-interactive
When I press Enter, I get a login dialog. and after I enter my password I see:
Code:
Connection failed. stty: 'standard input': Inappropriate ioctl for device stty: 'standard input': Inappropriate ioctl for device
Does anyone have any hints ?

Thanks !

p.s. I've tried updating the x2goserver to 4.0.1.19 and x2goclient to 4.0.5.1

Still no joy, but the diffs for the .SlackBuild and .info files are attached.

Note that the NEW x2goclient took a number of changes to build on 14.2 + Multilib ... ( I don't like the hack on the Makefile but I don't know qmake )

Thanks ponce.

No, I've not done that yet, but I will now <G>

There are a number of posts in LQ on x2go* and as far as I can tell, no one has had any luck ...

Thanks.

Hi, I ran in the same errors (more or less the same set-up) and have worked it out to get the client to work (I have to connect to a x2go-server at work) (and might have mentioned this to the maintainer at the time but cannot remember);

You need, apart from the x2go packages, to install a part of the the nx-package (you need 2 libraries from this package: nxproxy & nxcomp).

You can do this by commenting bits out in the slackbuild; see attached. Good luck with it,

Rob
