When 14.2 gets released, I'm planning to upgrade not only from Slackware 14.1 to 14.2, but also from Windows 7 to 10. Time to start getting ready.
I would love to hear how you like Windows 10. I'm a bit concerned about the Windows 10 security concerns that I've read about. I'm sticking with Windows 7 for now.

Honestly, I probably won't even boot into it for months after upgrading.

I only boot into Windows to either
play various games on Steam
watch various shows on Adult Swim
So, from that very limited list of requirements, I found Windows 10 OK. (I used Windows 7 prior to that.)
If I'm not doing the two above items, that computer is running Slackware.
Distribution: Slackware64 15.0 (started with 13.37). Testing -current in a spare partition.

I upgraded to Windows 10 and it's running ok, but I don't use it often to have a solid opinion.
To tell the truth, I upgraded just because it was for free, you don't see Windows for free every day.

I also need Windows for doing my taxes. It's about the only thing I use it for other than keeping my Windows skills fresh.
The day Windows forces Windows 10 on me is the day I buy a (hoick! ptui!) Mac for doing my taxes and other stuff that requires proprietary software and turn my Windows 7 machine, currently dual-booting Magiea (which is quite a nice piece of work, by the way) into a pure Linux box.
