Just ran all the live iso. I use XFCE and like it so that one felt good. Mate is nice. First time I actually have tried it for some strange reason. slackware64-live-current.iso didn't identify that it is KDE or I wouldn't have bothered with it. I strongly dislike the latest efforts at KDE.
Plasma5, unlike the others refused to let me log in as root.
Thanks for the chance to try out the current Slackware as a live system

This ISO contains the full Slackware64-current so apart from KDE you also get XFCE, fluxbox, fvwm, windowmaker etc. In runlevel 4 (KDM) you can choose desktop of choice in the session dropdown, and in runlevel 3 you can run "xwmconfig" to choose the DE of your liking.
KDE is just Slackware's default.

Well, after trying xwmconfig in the Plasma5 iso and getting only one entry I expected they were all the same and didn't try again. Yup, it is as you say. Any chance Slackware will have mate this time around?
