Slackware 13.37 WICD Disconnect all

I was messing around a few weeks ago on my old Slack box and clicked Disconnect All in WICD box. I was just checking available wifi networks. From my understanding I have hard coded a block on my wifi.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled WICD, deleted it again and installed NetworkManager. Still blocked.

Is there a CLI command to unblock this? If there is, I cannot find it. I need to fix this as this is my wife's box and she cannot get online. Thanks!

you might try "iwlist".
I've never had this problem on a Slackware machine but I put Cent on a laptop for my daughter and intermittently it stops scanning for networks until I give it a gentle reminder (iwlist).
If that doesn't work, I might try "iwconfig" to make sure the adapter/extensions are running and look at rc.inet1.conf so see if that makes sense.

Let me preface that I haven't used wicd for a really long time... wpa_gui does all wicd used to and more.. and it is stock slackware..

That said, give this a look (as root)

rfkill list

see if there are any blocks that show up yes... the disconnect all may have set a block in there, not sure.

I am sure that the internal wifi card is gone. I am just going to get a USB Wifi dongle and be done with it. The laptop is 8 years old and not worth replacing the card. Thanks for suggestions.
