I've installed it manually in my server and it's running without any problems (so far). So, what can I do to help to make sure MySQL 5.5 will be included in this l33t version? Build my own Slackbuild script?

Convince Pat that your server is somehow representative of everyone else's installation.

Not stable enough, probably. As for me, even running Extreme Tux Racer causes hard lockup.

I saw that a couple of days ago. Its been uninstalled. I had commented on Alien's blog that gpm had crashed and the problem went away.

*sorry*

LOL, I think I'm going to fail that one, seems like I *maybe* the only one who's talking about the latest MySQL release

Are we almost there?

Yep, and staying with 2.6.37.4.

When I saw yesterday that the latest stable kernel is now 2.6.38, I was wondering whether Pat would go to .4 or bump to 2.6.38 before release.
Probably too close to release day now to risk a .0 on a distro with such a focus on stability.

Running RC2 now. All is well.
Many thanks to Mr. Volkerding and the entire Slackware team.

It is possible to add the new stable kernel 2.6.38 and compile X with gallium for AMD 6000 series work?

For what I read in this thread, my idea is not going to happen at least in this release.

No, i don't think Pat will include 2.6.38 as the default kernel, but for /testing, i think it's still possible
