I totally missed the fun and unserious sweepstakes..

Or no, I didn't really. I'm just happy that it was 'all' quite well bundled in just one thread, and not a dozen of them,..

Hey! Don't you go dis'ing my sweepstakes! ;-p

Actually, that was sort of what that sweepstakes was all about. It was my 'cunning plan' to stop people posting new threads asking "When will the next release be" every other day as I was getting a little sick of seeing them. But, like all cunning plans, it sort of took on a life of it's own. ;)

I don't think we've had as much of that sort of thing this time. People are starting to learn not to ask. ;)

Hi onebuck,

The site in question is whichever ISP controls incoming email
to info@slackware.com. That server issued a recipient denial
with the reason:
Quote:

Reason: This system uses BMS to check your IP address reputation, and was rejected by the user. IP=[XX.XXX.XXX.XXX] Protection provided by: MagicMail version 1.3.1 (http://magicmail.linuxmagic.com)
Of course this may not be Slackware.com--I'm just guessing.
After checking my IP rep., only one, uceprotect-1 has this IP address listed with
a problem. Oddly, this can be rapidly removed for payment of a fee.

I was speaking of the site <http://www.icewalkers.com/> in your post. The content there would be up to the web admin on site.

Apologies onebuck,

I probably misunderstood what you were saying. I tried to alter the
description on the icewalkers web page, but the "maintainer" is listed as
"info@slackware.com" and my changes were not accepted. Would you like to try?
the web page addr is in my previous post.

The Icewalkers pages listing distros is at:

Slackware--and its nice "Penguin/with Bob" logo--is on the second page.

Apologies again onebuck,

The snarky replies have no place here --looking at that page
on Icewalkers again, aparently someone numbscull named letitgo
was the contributor for Slackware 11.0 I'm going to take a deep
breath, go back and see if I can fix the entry..

I got my DVD today. It says, "Finest Linux Anywhere" That sounds really funny to me for some reason. Not really sure what it means.
