Slackware 13.1: xfce and ugly SMPlayer

Hi,

I have just installed Slackware 13.1 + rworkman's xfce 4.6.2 package and all is running very nicely. I have also compiled the latest SMPlayer but the appearance is a little odd, the panels and buttons have quite an odd 'gtk' look about them instead of the normal 'qt' look. I attach a screenshot to demonstrate.

Not quite sure what I have done wrong here, I am using Eric Hanson's slackbuild from slackbuilds.org with a simple version bump for SMPlayer 0.6.9.

Edit: Some time with qtconfig has improved things a little...

Thanks,

Andrew

It must be a matter of personal taste. It looks just fine to me.

Hi,

I installed this http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13...p/gtk-chtheme/. This program allows you to theme Gtk+ apps. You can get themes from http://gnome-look.org/ and then extract them into your /usr/share/themes folder. After that just run
Code:
gtk-chtheme
as a normal user to choose the theme.

smplayer has it's own theme engine. You can change the style/theme from inside the preferences window.

OK thanks for all the input, I have found endless ways to configure the look of SMPlayer although I have a sneaking feeling that the defaults were better under 13.0.... The theme I have attached is a little different .

Thanks all,

Andrew
