Slackware 13.0
Does anyone now when slackware 13.0 will be released?

Jeebizz 10-25-2007 10:59 AM

Sometime in middle of 2008? Who knows. It will be ready when its ready. 12.0 just came out roughly 3 months ago, so another release right now seems a bit premature. If you want you can keep track of Slackware-Current, and you can see the progress of the future release, however Pat never really releases a new version until he feels that current is ready to be released as a stable release, and who knows when that could be. :D

Except for those things on fixed release cycles (that is, we're releasing $VERSION on $DATE regardless of whether it's ready or not), does anybody ever know when version++ of anything is going to release?

Furthermore, why do you assume the next Slackware release will be 13.0? You obviously aren't familiar enough with it to know the standard answer of "When it's ready" - why then are you so preoccupied with knowing when the next release will happen?

Sorry for being interested...

Don't feel bad phodopus.

When will it come out no one knows for sure but the best answer is When It's Ready.

Just relax and enjoy slackware :)
