Slackware 12 - kde and removable media

Hi,
When I plug something in, like a usb key, or put a dvd disk in, it gets detected and I get the box asking me what I'd like to do.
And I click on Do nothing.
I don't get any icon on the desktop for that media.
Otherwise if I click browse media it mounts it and I can browse the files on it.
But then I have to go to system, media to safely remove it.
How do I get an icon for it on the desktop so I just right-click to unmount and remove?
Thanks for any help.

Right click -> Configure Desktop -> Behaviour -> Device Icons -> Tick "Mounted Removable Medium"
