Slackware 12.2 and compiz on fglrx

Compiz 0.7.8 compiled without problem but when I start fusion-icon the screen goes black for a second and than completely white with only my mouse pointer visible and movable, everything else is white and nonresponsive. Only error message I get is; firegl_SetSuspendResumeState FAILED -1003

The same compiz and ati drivers versions worked fine on slack 12.1.

What is going on?
