Hmm... I had a similar problem like this yesterday. At first I downloaded the iso's from the ftp site and began burning them to generic double-sided silver no-name CD-R's. and CD1 would work but when it was time to put CD2 in it didn't recognize it and said all of the packages starting with /xap was corrupt or damaged. So I said hmm interesting.... I then reburned the images on 2 more ( same media ) CD-R's using Nero just like before except I slowed down my burnning speed and that work only slightly it recognized the CD and installed the first few apps on /xap but then freaked out again. So instead I just used some TDK CD-RW's that I had laying around, and I used blindwrite to write them. The first disk like before when fine the 2nd disk did work alot better but it freaked only on BitchX. After BitchX it was fine. so my conclusion is that it is either a media problem or software being that those were the commenalities. Oh by the way I didn't do a MD5sum sorry I'm lazy!

Hmm, interesting. I have tried media from three different vendors, but not yet TDK. Strange: I have had never problems with those media (Platinum, Verbatim and Traxdata) before. And I don't have problems burning CD1 and 3-6 on them.

What ever it is, something makes the image for CD2 more difficult to write on CDs...
