Slackware 11.0 boot from cd problem
I downloaded the 3 ISOs for Slackware 11.0 and burned them to CD-Rs. I put the first one in the cd drive and rebooted. Unfortunately, the PC booted to grub(on the hard drive) and not the CD. I know the BIOS is set correctly because I can boot to DSL (Damn Small Linux) and I know the CD is good because it booted up on another PC. I also checked the md5 check sum of the ISO and it came out correctly. Any help? If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I suggest that you have a look at this thread.

Burn your .iso onto CD at the slowest speed, no faster than 4X. I've found that high speed .iso burns can be problematic.
Luck! |
if md5sum checks then it is burned correctly

Also, burn your ISO as an Image, not a regular file

Thanks Allend. I read the thread and I tried the 10.2 version trick where you boot from the 10.2 cd and then switch to the 11.0 cd. It worked perfectly. Slackware is installing as I type this. Thanks you guys for your advice.
