Slackware 10 on Sony Vaio laptop

Hi,

I want to install Slackware 10 onto my Sony Vaio PCGZ600TEK. I am having a little trouble installing it since this laptop has a PCMCIA CDROM. I have tried the following at the boot prompt, but, it gives me an INIT error:

linux ide2=0x180,0x386

This recognises the CDROM drive but the gives me the INIT error. Has anyone installed Slackware onto this laptop? Could you please tell me how to install it from the CDOM?

Thanks for your help
