Slackware 10: How do you disable hotplug at startup?

Question:

Slackware 10: How do you disable hotplug at startup?

Summary:

I just installed a fresh Slackware 10 - 2.4.26 Kernel on a partition on my home workstation and I completely forgot that I needed to turn off hotplug in order to get my Microsoft Natural Keyboard to work.

Thus, how do you disable hotplug at startup?

Is the setting in one of the rc.d files???

Thank you for reading this post.

Or, if you're afraid that you might be inviting satan into you're computer:
chmod -x /etc/rc.d/rc.hotplug (as root)

You can also use pkgtool to browse most of your startup scripts and turn them on or off from there.

is it safe to removepkg hotplug? I read that it can break the system...
will chmod'ing be a safer alternative or would it also not be ok?
