Slackware 10.1 and 2.6.12.3

I successfully got 2.6.12.3 compiled, but I have several issues.

My internet doesnt work
X runs slow (Maybe my ATI drivers dont work?)
GTK apps look ugly and are slow (maybe related with above problem)
No sound

Are there any guides on configuring 2.6.12.3 to work on Slack 10.1 with an ATI card, and nForce chip (sound and network, all onboard)?

I have never compiled a kernel for an ATI card, but I know nvidia has an nforce chipset driver available from their website. It installs pretty easily, but the nforce-2 chipset has always been pretty buggy. However, their is only one unified nforce driver.

nforce ethernet is the forcedeth module. are you sure it's nforce audio? there's a lot of nf/2 motherboards out there, it would probably be easier if you just said what board it was so we wouldn't have to guess.

i think there's a pretty good 2.6.x compile guide stickied at the top of the slack forum by DaOne. you might want to read through that.
