Slackware 10.0 + Qt 4.2

Hi

I have compiled today Qt 4.2, then made package as a .tgz and install it, before uninstalled old qt-3.3.2-i486-2.tgz from my system.

After that I have set variables like QTDIR, QMAKESPEC, PATH and compiled sample Hello World' in Qt 4.2.

Program runs outstanding, but when I try to run programs ex. Kate I get such error

Quote:
kate: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have browsed new Qt and there are no 'mt' library ?
Anyone has got same problem as me ?

Best Regards
Tom

You NEED QT 3.x for binary packages compiled against it, qt 4 is not backwards compatible.

Ok Thank you, so How Can I run parallel Qt 3.x (to run old programs) and Qt 4.x to develop new programs ?
