slackpkg gpg signature on CHECKSUMS.md5 failed!

ERROR: Verification of the gpg signature on CHECKSUMS.md5
failed! This could mean that the file is out of date
or has been tampered with.

This is Slackware64-14.2. I've tried several different mirrors. I've tried using an rsync mirror. I've made sure the system time was correct. I've checked a lot of other things some things gpg related things. I don't know what to check now or what the issue could be. I applied all the latest patches manually and made sure the .new configs are installed etc.

UPDATE: I deleted the .gnupg and that lead to things working. Not sure what caused the issue.

Thanks for the post. Little "stories" like this help when we encounter odd error situations.

I would like to add that the solution indeed is to delete the .gnupg folder located in the root folder (home of root user, /root/.gnupg/ )
