My IBM T400 (integrated video only) is a great laptop and every part works perfectly with Slackware. I understand that Robby Workman and Alien Bob have laptops of the same model.

I run Slackware64-current on a company-issued T400. Any Thinkpad is good to run Slackware on, and they are great machines..

I've been using an HP G60 laptop (intel graphics) since January 2010 with Slackware 13.0, .1 and -current. The only out-of-the-box issue was the Atheros wireless chip working. Everything else...graphics, sound, etc. has performed flawlessly. I write for a living and the HP was the lowest-priced machine with a pleasant keyboard I could afford at the time. So far I've logged over a third of a million words on the keyboard without problems. I alternate using Slack 13.1 with Xfce on one hard drive and Slack -current with KDE on another drive, all without multilib.

I have my eye set on the ThinkPad Edge. However, its wireless adapter is a problem for Slack:
