Slackbuild for Docky?
Does anyone know if there is a slack build for Docky? Nothing shows up in SlackBuilds.org I have not been able to find one, but I thought I would check before man-handling it onto my system. :)

If you don't want to build docky your self from sources you may choose to download an *rpm package convert it into a *tgz then you can install it directly into your slackware box as from SlackBuild. I have done it many times repeatedly since Slackware v.10 there was rarely any issue. Thus do it this way:
Download docky of any version you like, here is a page containing docky versions 2.1.x.x up to 2.2.0.8. After completely downloaded go to the folder: Code:
rpm2tgz ./docky-2.*rpm Code:
sudo installpkg docky-2*tgz You will first install "rpm2tgz" if it is not yet installed, you can find it in SlackBuild. Hope that helps. Good luck and enjoy. m.m. |

Vector Linux has a build script though, you can check there. |
Try cairo-dock. I found it at slackbuilds and it works well for me

Thanks all... I will take a look at Cairo as well. @Alien_Bob: I agree the dependencies are a bit much for one app...
