slackbook 2.0; need CLI pdf viewer Or convert it to HTML/text?
OK
So, in finishing my nFlux slack current edition
I have set it up for users to do certain things in console
and one of the things I want is a way to view slackbook-2.0
in runlevel 3 console
I cant find a pdf reader that works in command line mode
and I cant figure out how to either convert slackbook 2.0 pdf
into html/text Or find a slackbook download that is html or text?
I tried converting it using pdftotext, which didnt work very well
So, I need a command line pdf viewer
or a converter that works good?
thanks

Why don't you convert the HTML version instead? Just load it into lynx or links and then save as text.
There's a single-file html version right on slackbook.org.

Like others have said, there exists a perfectly good HTML version of the book that you can read with links or lynx (both included in the default install). However, mc (Midnight Commander) seems to be able to read PDF files, albeit somewhat poorly---just hit F3 for the built-in viewer.
