slackbasics.org tips and tricks fo playing games?

Hi, I found here http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/...eless_networks this link http://slackbasics.org/html/ but when I followed it openes page with, as in subject, tips and tricks for playing games, while it is supposed to be a book "Slackware Linux Basics". Can I find this book elsewhere?

slackbasics' domain was probably no longer renewed by it's previous owner so it was taken by other people

That website disappeared many years ago, but i think this is what you want:
https://github.com/willysr/slackbasi...ter/i18n/en_US

You can read it as html if you clone the git repository;
Code:

$ git clone git@github.com:willysr/slackbasics-i18n.git
$ cd slackbasics-i18n/i18n/
$ make all

It should give you the html files from the old slackbasics website to read locally.

This was a previous discussion about its disappearance:

Here's another online copy:

Not really!

How is Alien_Bob's wiki page related to the thread topic? Other than;

Here you will find all my Wiki articles - check them out!

Maybe you should have referenced the link Slackware related but that link within for Slackware Linux Basics is broken so still no reference to Slackware Linux Basics.

BTW, Alien_Bob's wiki is over 8 years old

You seem to have a bad habit of just not researching a topic thoroughly! Maybe you should read; http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...#faq_lqwelcome to help you to form a good post or comment for a thread topic. Re-reading LQ Rules would be another good point of reference since you fail to post constructive posts with good content.

de Kok's book is the thread topic;

Slackware Linux Basics: For Slackware Linux 12.0 by Daniël de Kok

SlackwareŽ Basics <- 'SlackwareŽ Linux Basics is a book(PDF) that aims to provide an introduction to SlackwareŽ Linux.' + The Slackware Linux Basics Translation Project + Download Page for available translations
The book is a good reference but be aware it is based on Slackware 12.0. Sure some of the information can be applied but the differences between 12.0 and Slackware to date(14.2) are there.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!
