Run pkgtool and check if you really have kde installed.

startx should get you to desktop.Don't forget adduser command. After you have desktop setup the way you want it then edit /etc/inittab with pico, vim or other editor and change default init from 3 to 4. Then when you start SW you will get kdm login. Glad you got this far and happy slacking .
If kde(on cd2) not installed which is ususally part of full install then you must install it with pkgtool. As root insertcd2 mount /mnt/cdrom> cd /mnt/cdrom>ls will show what is on cd2.cd to directory containing kde then use Pkgtool to install kde pkgs.

Mount your cdrom and search for kde. Install everything what your will find in it (internatiolisation is not necessity). For mounting use mount, listing directories and files ls, opening directories cd, autocompletion tab, installing installpkg or pkgtool.

what is the output of 'who am i' at the console?
can you run 'xwmconfig', then 'startx' again?

Reinstall lilo with new configuration, clear previous one, which you have messed up.

Try recompile the kernel including suitable acpi support.
Edit fstab and add users over owner. Also check windows drives permissions. Using is only reading not writing if you have them formatted in ntfs.
If I remember correctly chmod 755 /dev/dsp.
$setxkbmap your_lang(don't know arabic abbreviation).
