Slack shall ask me which RunLvl I want to use on startup

Hi!
I want to make my Slackware as me which Runlevel I want to use on startup.
There should be the code for that at the end of rc.1 and default Runlvl 1 in the inittab.
I'd know how to manage this on Dos:
Code:
@echo off
rem autoexec.bat
rem all the other stuff like mousedriver etc.
echo Which Runlevel do you want to use? #(Yippe! DOS with Runlevels ;-)
choice /c:134
if errorlevel 3 init 4
if errorlevel 2 init 3
if errorlevel 1 exit
So, that was DOS and Linux mixed.
?
btw, LQ is GREAT

There is no need to edit /etc/inittab IMHO

Simply append the wished runlevel to the command line at runtime.

When the Lilo menu shows at startup hit <tab> then eg. type "Linux 4" and the system will start at runlevel 4.

Well, in my case "boot: Slackware13 X", but what if you're using grub or SmartBootManager(/SlackDVD/extra/btmgr-3.7)?
But thanks!

Same for GRUB, look here (I guess it's not red-hat specific).

Perhaps the following will help:

Configuring Slackware for a GUI and a Command Line Startup

If you want, add a third boot loader option to boot into run level 1 (single user mode).
