slack mail messages


I slackware whenever I login I get the mail which are very interesting. I wanted to know where are these messages stored?

I think the messages for root are stored in '/var/spool/mail/root', for a user its '/home/<user>/mail'.

type in

echo $MAIL when you're logged in and it will tell you

to read it, you can use the command

mail

or

pine

mutt
