Talking slack is tight!

hi all,
I've been using/experimenting with linux for about 4 years now, I have no previous experience of programming or anything, just an insane desire to find a stable free platform which can be manipulated to suit my mood!!!!
Here is my linux history:
1999: Debian (a tough starter)
1999/2000 mandrake (tries to be user friendly; fails to be user friendly!)
2000/2001 red hat (see above!)
2001/2002 various dists, (suse and new mandrake and red hat) desperately trying and desperately failing to compile a kernel
2002 discover lycoris, very user friendly, learned alot about linux
2003 tried ark linux, can't put my finger on it but diddn't like it for some reason (admin seemed too snobby?)
last month: got bored of lycoris, installed slack, compiled my first kernel hurrah!!
I have enough knowledge of linux now to say I am confident; I love slack and think I'll stay here for a while. The pkgtool is fantastic and for the first time I feel in control of my system, the window managers are mature now and so, it seems, is slack.
10/10
